Celebration for Winds, Strings and Percussion

In the festive events of celebrations, splashing fireworks, the sparking of the lights, the sound of the drums, laugh, cheerful, and happiness can be experienced.

Celebration for Winds, Strings and Percussion is the composition aims to capture those impressions. The vivid gestures and colorful pictures are being depicted through various melodies based on single motif. Starting with running notes by strings and followed by the trumpet fanfare motif, each instrument in the orchestra will play the metamorphosed motif which states the concept of this piece: to expand and develop the motif through the groups of instruments throughout the piece.

In the middle section, the music changed into an imitative fugue-like passage on string instruments. By gradually adding more instruments timbre, the texture becomes thicker, leading into a flowing lyrical polyphonic section. The trumpet fanfare motif returns with the eruption into the recapitulation of a condensed introductory section.

Towards the end of the piece, the motif is transformed into a grand climax and then leads into a coda with exciting running notes by strings and woodwinds and fanfare by brass, which conclude the whole composition.
